Having read in one of the daily newspapers about the exciting possibility that regular consumption of green tea may help in the fight against Leukaemia,I decided to investigate further!
A member of my immediate family has just been diagnosed with Myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow) which is a similar type of haematological cancer.
Having come successfully through gruelling chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant,we are anxious to give him every possible means of staying in remission.
If drinking green tea regularly helps Leukaemia patients, perhaps it will help Myeloma sufferers too.
At this point,I must emphasise that this is still only research, reported in a newspaper and may be found to have no effect on leukaemia but we felt it was worth adding a few cups of green tea to our daily diet "in case",
However, the more I researched green tea, the more aware I became of the wide variety of health benefit green tea does provide. Even though any help with the fight against leukaemia (and hopefully Myeloma) is still very much only a theory at this time,it appears to be worth drinking green tea regularly for other health benefits.
The aim of this web site is to bring together information, resources and articles about these benefits and any problems associated with green tea.
